Robert G. Drevitson, 80, of Phoenix, went home to be with the Lord on
July 17, 2003. He passed peacefully at his residence surrounded by his
family. He is survived by his wife Kathy of 33 years, daughters Linda
King, Geneva Irenze, Jenny Rockrich, Robyn and Erika Drevitson, son,
Robert Jr., and 9 grandchildren with one on the way and 12 great-
grandchildren.
Bob was an Army veteran of World War II. He retired from the military as
an Air Force pilot. He finish-ed his flying career as a Captain with
Overseas National Airways. Bob devoted the remainder of his life serving
the Lord as a Deacon, Stephen Minister, founding member of Lutheran
Cursillo and most dear to him, Prison Ministry. Bob captivated many
audiences with his fine speaking voice and skills acquired through
Toastmasters.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 20, 2003 at 6:00 - 8:00 P.M., at
Christ Church Lutheran located at 3901 E. Indian School Road.
Services will be on Monday, July 21, 2003 at 5:00 P.M., also at the
church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Christ Church Lutheran or
to the Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014-
5656.
Both organizations provided wonderful support during Bob's extended
illness which was greatly appreciated.
