The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, July 20, 2003 Amable S. Mercado, 63, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away on July 15, 2003. Amable was born in the Philippines in 1939. He joined the US Navy in 1960 & served his country proudly for 21 years. In 1963 he married Olga Soto & welcomed 3 children, Andrew, Chantelle & Pamela. In 1985 he obtained a B.S.E.E. from San Diego State University. Preceeded in death by his daughter Pamela in April 2003. Survived by wife Olga & children Andrew and Chantelle. Services will be held 1:30pm on July 25, St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 11451 Blue Cypress Drive, San Diego, CA 92131.
