SPRATT, Virginia C.


The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, July 20, 2003 Virginia C. Spratt, will be honored by her family at Cave Creek Veterans Cemetery on Monday, July 21st, at 9:30 AM. She is survived by Paul, her husband of 48 years, her son Dean, 3 grandchildren and her sister Thelma M. Smith. "Gin" was born in Ohio, lived her early life in Indiana and served as a WAC during WWII & the Korean War; receiving 3 medals during her military tour. She served as a chauffeur, heavy equipment/truck operator, secretary & physical education trainer. She had degrees from both business college & beauty school. She played softball & was an outstanding bowler. Before her death she told family that she wanted to be remembered as an honest woman. Virginia loved both animals & the outdoors. She never missed an opportunity to fish or camp. She told relatives that "when I go to be with the good Lord, just put out a sign gone fishing".
