The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Monday, July 21, 2003 Richard W. Mcgee, Jr., went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on July 13, 2003. He was born on June 29, 1924 in Haynesville, LA. He served in the US Army in WWII in Italy as an airplane mechanic. In 1980 he retired as a lay minister to prisoners in Texas and moved to Phoenix to be with his mother, Frances Stull. He spent the last 23 years in Phoenix serving his Lord Jesus Christ at his church, in his neighborhood, and in his family. He is survived by his two sisters, Margaret Holcombe and Eve Schloeman, as well as several loving nieces and nephews. We will all miss this godly and joyous man. A memorial service will be held on Sat., July 26, 2003, 4pm, at his beloved church, First Southern Baptist Church of Paradise Valley, 16033 N. 32nd St., Phoenix, AZ 85032. Phone number 602 992-0292.
