BRIGGS, Frances Lea (Fran)

Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona Friday, December 30, 2011 Frances Lea Briggs went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday December 27th surrounded by family at FMC. She was born in Byers, Kansas, August 9, 1933. Fran has lived in Williams for the past 36 years. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother always busy with every activity involving her children and family. Fran enjoyed work and managed the Kentucky Fried Chicken, Parker House and Hoffner house restaurants from 1978 to 2002. She enjoyed fishing, planting flowers around her house, entertaining family and friends and spoiling her grandchildren. Fran never met a stranger, she had a kind soul and joy in her heart. Her smiling face and kind words will be missed by many friends and family, but we are comforted by knowing that she has gone on to a glorious place. Fran is survived by her 4 children Johnnie Richard (Dee) Konkel, Lowell Vernon Knokel, Raymond Wayne (Teresa) Konkel, James Eldon (Carmella) Briggs, 17 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Canyon Chapel in Williams, on December 31st at 2:00 p.m. Reception will follow in the fellowship hall.
