Heritage Funeral Chapel Peoria, Arizona Gordon K. Smith On December 28, 2011 Gordon K. Smith crossed over to be with his beloved wife of 60 years, Mildred, and the rest of his loved ones who've been waiting to see him again. He will be missed in the hearts of those he leaves behind: sons and their wives John & Patti, Jerry & Vickie and Keith & Christa; daughters and their husbands Mari & Gary Palmer and Marta & John Hurley; nine grandchildren Adam, David, Dayna (Chris), Gina (Steve), Jennifer, Sarah, Sean, Stacy (Dan) and Teresa; nine great grandchildren and sister-in-law Joan Hardy. During WWII, Gordon served in the US Marines and US Navy as a Hospital Corpsman 1st class. He was an active Mason and Shriner. Gordon was a kind loving man with a great sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew him. A visitation will be held from 11:00 - 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Road, Peoria. A Masonic service will be held at noon. Burial with military honors will follow at West Resthaven Cemetery, Glendale. As it says on the memorial bench he made for our mom: Arm in arm we will walk again you and I together.
