MELTON, Ed

West Valley View, Avondale, AZ July 23, 2010 Ed Melton, 63, of Litchfield Park died July 16, 2010, in Sun City West. Mr. Melton was born June 5, 1947, in Glendale to Art and Zula. He was in the Army 101st Airborne Division and served in Vietnam. He was awarded two Purple Hearts and a Silver Star. He worked at Sub-Zero for 20 years as a superintendent and was a dairy farmer. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Tamara; one son, Jonathan Stephens; one daughter, Tina Rowe; one brother, Dale Garrison; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services are private. Donations can be made to the American Lung Association. Arrangements were made by Thompson's Valley West Funeral Chapel.
