HUNTER, JR., Lee E.

West Valley View, Avondale, AZ July 30, 2010 Lee E. Hunter Jr., 87, of Buckeye died July 22, 2010. Mr. Hunter was born Jan. 12, 1923, to Lee and Eva Mae. He was raised in the Liberty/Buckeye area and graduated from Buckeye Union High School in 1941. He joined the Army and served during World War II in the Engineer Water Supply Co. He married Virginia Jones in 1946. He worked as a fuel truck driver for McDonald's, was a farmer and surveyed for the state during the building of Interstate 10. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Virginia; two daughters, Dixie Saunders and Karen King; and two grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 3 at the Community Church of Buckeye, 810 Eason Ave. in Buckeye.
