The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ May 29, 1959, p. 7 Rites Wednesday for Matt Lisac Rosary for Matthew (Matt) Lisac of Aguila, who died in a Phoenix hospital at 9:30 p.m. May 23 were held at the Wickenburg chapel Tuesday evening. Rev. D. F. O’Sullivan conducted the funeral mass in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Wednesday morning. Burial followed in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mr Lisac, who had been ill for more than a year and one-half, had been an employee of the Santa Fe Railroad since 1925. He moved to Aguila from Gallup, N. M., and was Aguila’s station agent and telegrapher for 10½ years before ill health forced his retirement. He was born in Weaver, N. M. February 24, 1907. While a resident of Aguila, Mr Lisac had served several years on the school board. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Croatian Fraternal Union and the Brotherhood of Railway Telegraphers. Surviving are the widow, Mary, four children, James Matthew, John Michael and Lelia Marie of the home and Goldenia of Pueblo, Colo. Also surviving are two brothers, John Lisac of Medford, Ore., and Tony Lisac of Barstow, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs Joe Meese and Mrs George Naglich, both of Gallup; an uncle, Vince Cebuhar of Miles City, Mont., who is now a patient in the Fort Whipple Veterans Hospital, and an aunt, Mrs Antonio Bubon of Matherville, Ill. Pallbearers at the services were Max Miller, Oren Jones and J. P. McCormick of Aguila and Larry Fields, Emil Garfield, H. P. Sullivan and R. B. Sullivan of Wickenburg.
