The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ June 19, 1959, p. 10 George Brown Rites Friday In California George Brown, former owner of Slash Bar K Ranch here, died in Good Samaritan Hospital, Los Angeles Tuesday. He had undergone an operation there the day before for a damaged artery. Funeral services were scheduled for 10 a.m. today (Friday) in the Praisewater Mortuary, Van Nuys, Calif., with burial following in the Hollywood Hills section of Forest Lawn Cemetery, Glendale, Calif. Surviving are the widow, Mrs Grace Brown, who now resides in Van Nuys; one daughter, Mrs Bruce Kenny, also of Van Nuys; one son, Dr. Robert R. Brown who is doing research at the National University of Australia at Canderra; and one granddaughter, Catherine Lindy Kenny. Mr. & Mrs. Brown came to Wickenburg in 1954 and purchased Slash Bar K Ranch from M & Mrs Don Kerr. They moved from here to Van Nuys in 1958 at which time they leased the ranch to Dr. N. W. Walker.
