Oklahoma Rites For Mother Of Othel Babcock
Mrs Fred Babcock received word Monday that her mother, Mrs Ella States, died in Cherokee, Okla., that morning. Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Community Church near Cherokee which is in the area where Mrs States had resided most of her 84 years. Burial was in the cemetery of that church.
Mrs States, who had been in failing health for a long time, had visited Wickenburg on several occasions and lived with her daughter here for two years while Mr Babcock was in military service. She was a native of Oklahoma. Mr States died many years ago.
Surviving, in addition to the Wickenburg daughters, are these sons and daughter; Leland States, Perry, Okla.; Leonard States, Merriam, Kan.; Mrs Lester Archer, Jet, Okla.; Mrs L. O. Goodwin, Tulsa, Okla.; Mrs C. C. Martin, Fort Scott, Kan.; Mrs Pearl La Brue, Columbia, Mo,; and Mrs Dan Nelson, Eads, Colo.
