New Yorker Dies of Heart Attack
Funeral services were to be held in Rochester, N. Y. this week for Oscar D. Spicer, a resident of Wickenburg for the past month, who died of a heart attack while driving his car on Tegner Street in front of Ryan-Evans Drug Store at 9 o’clock last Friday morning. The car was moving slowly and Mrs Spicer, who was a passenger in the front seat, managed to get it stopped as her husband slumped over the steering wheel. Her calls for help brought prompt response from those in the neighborhood but by the time Dr. Floyd B. Bralliar arrived a few minutes later, the man was dead.
Mr & Mrs Spicer came here from Rochester for Mr Spicer’s health. They resided in the Henderson Apartments. He was born November 29, 1893 in George City, Ky., but had resided in Rochester for the past 40 years where he was employed in the film manufacturing department of the Eastman Kodak Co.
Surviving besides the widow is one daughter, Mrs Dorothy Yeager of Rochester.
