The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ December 4, 1959, p. 1 Morton Bodfish’s Father Summoned Funeral services were held in Columbus O., Monday for John H. Bodfish, 85-year-old father of Morton Bodfish. Burial was in that city with the Masonic Lodge officiating. Mr Bodfish died in Columbus last Friday morning. He had been in ill health since suffering a stroke four years ago. His son left Wickenburg by plane to attend the services. The father, who was born in St. Johns, Mich., was for many years in the retail hardware business in Columbus. Then he was on the staff of U. S. Senator John Bricker of Ohio for several years. When Mr Bricker retired from the senate, Mr Bodfish remained with the state government in the revenue department. Mr Bodfish had three sons but only Morton Bodfish is now living. Son John II was killed during World War II. Robert V. was killed in an automobile accident near Wickenburg in 1952. The widow is the only other immediate survivor.
