The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ July 5, 1957, p.4 Funeral Tuesday For Mrs Hardee Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon in the A. L. Moore & Sons Chapel in Phoenix for Mrs Golda Fern Hardee who died in a hospital in Cottonwood last Friday afternoon. Mrs Hardee had recently been living in Payson but for many years was a resident of Morristown. Mrs Hardee was born in Washington County, Ind., 63 years ago. She came to Arizona 39 years ago. She and her husband, John S. Hardee, operated the Morristown Grocery for many years. They still own the building, leasing it to Mr & Mrs Erwin McGuire. And they still own their Morristown home. Surviving are the husband; a son, John S. Jr., of Payson and a brother Howard Smedley of Morristown. The family requested contributions to the cancer Fund as a memorial rather than flowers. Rev. Ralph Rofoed conducted the funeral services and burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
