Robert Forsythe Dies In Phoenix
Funeral services were held in Phoenix November 16 for Robert N. Forsythe of that city, a former resident of Wickenburg where he was Wrangler of the Round-Up Club for two years from 1948-1950. He also engaged in the real estate business here and built the unique building known as The Hat, located at that time on the corner near the Saguaro Theater.
Mr Forsythe, who was 71 years of age, died November 13 at his home in Phoenix. Services were held in the Arizona Funeral Home with burial in Greenwood Memorial Park. Mrs Forsythe died in Phoenix in 1955.
A native of Amwell, Pa., Mr Forsythe came to Arizona from New York City in 1957 and lived in Tucson a year before moving to Wickenburg. He attended Purdue University where he was a star member of the football team. Just before World War I, in which he saw service, he was first basemen with the old Kansas City Blues. At the time of his death he was employed by Lincoln Realty in Phoenix.
