The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, May 28, 1974 George Peterson Rites Thursday George William Peterson, 68, died Sunday at Martinez, Calif. He was born Sept. 14, 1905 at Rockford, Ill. Mr. Peterson was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. Until his retirement in 1964, he worked for General Mills at Minneapolis, Minn. He came to Prescott from that state in 1970 and resided at 910 W. Gurley St. since that time. Survivors include his widow, Madge of Prescott; two nephews, Robert of Minneapolis and Charles of Rockford. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, Legion of Mary and the American Legion. Mass of the resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Thursday at Sacred Heart Church with Fr. Leonard Cuellar officiating. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 tomorrow at Ruffner Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be at Prescott National Cemetery with full military honors.
