West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona August 17, 2010 Mary Catherine Joslin, 93, of Phoenix and formerly Buckeye died Aug. 13, 2010. Mrs. Joslin was born Nov. 26, 1916, to Clark and Florence Marsh. She graduated from the University of Southern California in 1937. She taught in the Buckeye and Palo Verde school districts for 35 years. She was a member of the Palo Verde Homemakers Club and Buckeye Woman's Club, chairwoman of the Buckeye Food Bank, past president of Chapter A of Philanthropic Educational Organization and member of Palo Verde Baptist Church where she played the piano for more than 40 years. She is survived by two sons, William of Buckeye and Robert of Lander, Wyo.; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ganley's Buckeye Funeral Home, 104 E. Baseline Road in Buckeye. Interment will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Louis B. Hazelton Memorial Cemetery, 23100 W. Broadway Road in Buckeye. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Southern Baptist Church of Buckeye, 405 N. Third St. in Buckeye. Memorials may be made to All Faith Community Service Food Bank, 214 S. Fifth St., Buckeye, AZ 85326.
