Forest Balinger, Sr. Rosary Tonight
Forrest Frank Balinger, 73, a well-known local real estate man formerly operated both a motel and market here, died here Saturday, June 8 at the home of his son.
He was born July 23, 1900 at Picquay, Ohio and had been a resident of Prescott for the past 20 years. He had resided in the state for 54 years.
Mr. Balinger had attended public schools in Dayton Ohio.
He had been employed by the Santa Fe Railway company for a number of years and had worked in the oil fields in both Oklahoma and Texas.
In 1923 he moved to Yuma where he was district manager of the Texaco Company; later he moved to this city where he was the Singer Sewing Machine Company's representative. He also operated the Prescott Motor Inn, the Balinnger market and was a representative of Strout Realty. Until his death, he was owner operator of the Ballenger Real Estate Offices.
Survivors include on the son, Forest Ballinger Jr. of Prescott; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Rosary services will be held at the Hampton Funeral Home at 7:30 p.m. today.
Mass of the resurrection will be held at sacred hearts Church at 11 a.m. tomorrow.
Interment will be at the Mountain View Cemetery.
The family suggested nations be made to the American Heart Fund.
