The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, June 4, 1974 Prescott Man Dies in Game. A Prescott man was found dead after he collapsed while playing baseball at Southside Park Monday night, Police said. Ernie Munguia, 18, was pronounced dead at arrival at a Phoenix hospital. Police said he apparently died of a heart seizure. Munguia was staying with his cousin R.M. Munguia officials said. ----------------- The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, June 5, 1974 Ernest Manuel Munguia, 18, of Prescott dies suddenly Monday while visiting in Phoenix. He was born Nov. 2, 1955 in Prescott and lived here all his life, graduating from Prescott High School this year. He had worked for the US Forest Service. Survivors include: his father, Manual Munguia, Sr., of Phoenix; two brothers, Manuel, Jr. and Danny, both of Prescott; a sister, Cecilia Munguia, of Phoenix; three half-brothers and two half-sisters; uncles, Pete and Joe Munguia of Phoenix; aunt and uncle, Mr. Mrs. David Munguia of Prescott, with whom he made his home. Also, aunts, Carmen Durand and Linda Castaneda, both of Prescott and Raquel Rivera of Phoenix. Rosary will be held at Memory Chapel at 7:30 p.m. Friday, with Mass of the Resurrection and 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Church. Burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
