The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Tuesday, July 22, 2003 Edna Mae Schrock passed away on July 19, 2003 at the age of 81. She was born in West Unity, Ohio on September 29, 1921, and the youngest child of John and Arminda Stuckey. On August 14, 1940 Edna married the love of her life, Edward 0. Schrock who preceded her in death 8 years ago. Also preceding her in death, 4 brothers, 1 sister and both parents. 3 children survive her Bonnie Swat and Neil Schrock of Peoria. AZ, Arid Sheryl Mast of Phoenix, and their spouses. Edna loved her family and delighted in her 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, all who loved her dearly. She had a great sense of humor and it was a joy just to be around her. The perfect hostess, she welcomed everyone into her home. She was very active with youth and young people, teaching Bible School, Sunday school and volunteering many hours at the House of Refuge, a shelter for homeless men in Sunnyslope. A long time member of the Sunnyslope Mennonite Church, Edna will be remembered as a wonderful, loving and caring person and role model for many. She loved and lived life to the fullest. Her faith and perseverance in the face of difficulties never faltered. Our hearts are saddened by our loss, but we will cherish the precious moments we spent with her and rejoice in knowing that she is in now in the loving arms of her personal Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you God, for the beautiful life she lived. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the House of Refuge, 9835 N. 7th. Street, Phoenix, AZ 85020. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 5PM to 8PM at Lundberg White Rose Chapel, 5310 W. Northern, Glendale, AZ. Graveside service at 9AM Wednesday, July 23. Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6290 W. Northern Ave, Glendale. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday. July 23, 7PM at Sunnyslope Mennonite Church 9835 N. 7th. Street, Phoenix. AZ.
