The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, July 9, 1974 Former Editor, Williams Dies Ralph L. Williams, 67, former managing editor of the Prescott Courier and that 1940’s and 1950’s, died Monday at Klamath Falls, Ore. where he had resided since retirement. He was an active member of the Willis Street Church of Christ while residing here. Williams was previously employed by the Arizona Republic as sports editor under the byline of Clipper Williams. Then he went to work for the Prescott Courier, leaving in 1956. Later he served in the same capacity for the Valley News at San Fernando, Calif. and then the Hollywood Citizen News from which he retired in 1970. Services will be held at O'Hair’s Funeral Chapel, 515 Pine St., Klamath Falls, Ore. at 2 p.m. Thursday. Among his survivors are: give the widow, Marian E. of Klamath Falls; daughters, Barbara Bockelman of Riverside, Calif., Patricia Merrifield and Martha Morrison, both of Hemet, Calif., Valerie Morgan, of Canoga Park, Calif.; sons, Ralph Williams, Jr., of Klamath Falls, and Paul Williams of Pittsburgh, Pa. and 16 grandchildren.
