The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, May 31, 1943 Sent Burial Rites For Mrs. Simpson Funeral services for Mrs. Kate Simpson, aged 78, who died at her home, 328 S. Montezuma St., Saturday, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Lester Ruffner Funeral Home. Christian Science service will be followed by interment in the family plot In the Citizen’s cemetery. Graveside rites will be conducted by the Order of Pocahontas, of which Mrs. Simpson was a member. Mrs. Simpson, a native of Evanston, Ill., had resided in Prescott for 53 years, coming here from Neosho, Mo., with her husband, William, and their three sons, Lee, Lemuel, and Mayo, all of them have passed away. Two nieces, Mrs. Ed Roberts and Mrs. Dollie Heisler reside in Prescott, also a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Christina Simpson, widow of the late Mayo Simpson. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Note: There is no headstone marking Mrs. Simpson's place of burial. She is buried in the family plot beside her husband and two sons, Lemuel and Mayo.
