The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Tuesday, August 29, 1967. Prescott -- Funeral services for Anthony W. Smith, 73, retired mechanic, were in Ft. Whipple VA chapel. Burial in Veterans Cemetery. Mr. Smith, a 41-year resident of the Williams and Flagstaff area, died Saturday, August 26, 1967, in the VA Hospital. He had been a patient six months. A world War I Army veteran, he came to Arizona from Texas. He was born in Farmington, Missouri. Survivors include his wife, Cleda, of Williams; a son, Bill of Flagstaff; two daughters, Mrs. N. E. Carmack of Atascadero, Calif., and Mrs. Vincent Ross of Flagstaff; a brother out of state; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation at the Chapel of the Gardner Mortuary.
