The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, November 7, 2006 Shirley Ann Pearcy passed away at her home on November 5, 2006. She was born in Prescott, Arizona, on January 14, 1943, to Hiram (Frank) and Julia Reeves. Shirley enjoyed camping, hunting, bowling and spending time with your family and friends. She was very active in bowling on the local, state and national levels. Shirley served as secretary of many local bowling leagues for over 20 years and was secretary of the Central Yavapai women's Bowling Association for 20 years. She also served as an officer of the Arizona Women's Bowling Association and as a delicate at many national bowling conventions. Shirley was inducted into the Arizona Women's Bowling Association Hall of Fame in February of this year for her dedication to bowling. She won many awards during her lifetime of bowling and organized many of the local tournaments and benefits. Surely is survived by her husband of 44 years, Larry; brother, Philip (Sharon), of Camp Verde; sisters, Frankie Jo McPherson, of Kingman, and Fran O'Neil, of Reno, Nev.; son, Vernon, a Prescott; daughter, Shelley (David) Meyers, of Prescott Valley; grandchildren, Latasha (Chris), of Wickenburg, Lindsay (Christopher), Alyssa, Christina, Brittany, Christopher, Matthew and Michael; great-granddaughter, Autumn; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Shirley was a caring, giving mother who never tired of helping her family and others and will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her. She brought out the best in all of us. We love you and miss you already Mother! Commemoration services in honor of Shirley will be on Thursday, November 9, 2006, at 7 p.m., at Sunrise Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott Valley, Arizona.
