TETTLETON, Del Dwight Kimball

Del Dwight Kimball Tettleton was born March 16, 1972, to Ronald and Barbara Kimball in Safford. After Barbara was remarried, Del was adopted by Steven Wayne Tettleton. Del grew up as a military brat, moving from military base to military base. He lived in Nevada, Arkansas, Florida, Montana, Hawaii and Arizona, but his home was always Pima. Home was always where his Grandpa Doyle, his escape from the military bases, was. As a small child, Del was blond, cute and was loved so much by his family. During his younger years, Del spent most of his summers in Pima with his great-grandmother, Allie, and Grandpa Doyle Lines. After his junior year, Del decided to join the Navy. He was only 17, and his mother had to sign a waiver before the Navy would let him join. Del was shipped off to Great Lakes, Ill., in May 1989. That was where he attended boot camp and then graduated from the electrician's technical school. After graduation, he was stationed aboard the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy. In 1990, Del married Beata Czarnecka and was blessed with his first son, Ryan Devin Tettleton, on March 26, 1990. After his naval career, Del started his second career working for Motorola as a technician and an engineer. He later achieved a managerial position. On July 1999, Del married his second wife, Maria Herrera, and gained a daughter, Alaniah. On June 6, 2001, Del was blessed again with a second son, Mason Bobby Wade Tettleton. Del passed away May 28, 2007, in Seguin, Texas. Funeral services were Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at the Pima LDS Stake Center with viewing one hour prior. Interment in the Pima Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to McDougal's Caldwell Chapel. Eastern Arizona Courier 2007/06/04/
