Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Thursday, January 5, 2012 Larry Allen Songster, 58, passed away in Lake Havasu City, Dec. 29, 2011. He was born on Nov. 15, 1953, in North Platte, Neb. Larry moved to Lake Havasu City in 2003, coming from Bullhead City where he resided since 1993. He was very active in the marine industry and loved cars and boats. He served as sales manager for Holiday RV Marine in Bullhead City for 15 years and recently was the factory sales representative for Nordic Boats in Lake Havasu. Larry's business card used to say "fun coordinator" instead of salesman. His customers became his friend and he truly liked everyone he came to know and they liked him as well. He was truly a kind and generous soul and will be missed deeply. "RIP sweetie, I am going to miss you.” Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie Songster, of Lake Havasu City; stepdaughter, Sarah High; mother, Joyce (Robert) Sullivan; brothers, Gary (Deb) and James (Luanne) Songster; stepsister, Kathy (John). He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer, in 1995; and his father, Charles Songster in 2011. Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Jan. 12, at North Platte Cemetery in North Platte, Neb. A celebration of life will be at noon following the service at the Moose Lodge in North Platte.
