Virginia Landers, 86, died July 23, 2003 in Scottsdale. She was born on
July 5, 1917 to Ibra and Caroline Crockett in Dedham, MA. On Sept. 23,
1939 she married Leo J. Landers. They moved to Arizona in October of
1948. She was predeceased by a daughter, Ann V. Gronek in 1967 and a
son, Paul C. Landers in 1994. She is survived by her husband, Leo of
Phoenix; daughter, Helen (Wayne) Wright of Prescott; son, John (Lori)
Landers of Scottsdale; and son, William (Peggy) Landers of Phoenix. She
is survived by nine grandchildren, Sarah Jacobs, Sue Fornara and Michael
Gronek of Prescott; Jennifer Hazeltine, Elena Landers, Timothy Gronek
and Dennis Landers of Phoenix; Susan Kenny of Huntington Beach and
Christopher Wright of Seattle. She is also survived by 5 great -
grandchildren, Rachel Jacobs, Cade Jacobs, Kyle Akley, Toby Landers and
Nicholas Wright.
Visitation will be held on Fri., July 25, 2003, from 5-8 PM with a
Service at 7:00 P.M. at Messinger Mortuary Chapel, 7601 E. Indian School
Rd., Scottsdale.
Graveside Service Sat., July 26, 2003, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Francis
Cemetery, 5005 E. Oak St., Phoenix.
