Rosemary Hohu
The family of Rosemary Hohu, 82, of Dewey, Ariz., born Dec. 17, 1929, in Litchfield, N.Y., to William and Mary Harris mourns her passing on Jan. 3, 2012, in Hospice of Prescott, Ariz.
Rosemary grew up in Ilion, N.Y., on a family farm. She graduated from business college in Utica, N.Y., and worked for Bell Telephone. She met and married her husband, Joseph Hohu in Honolulu, Hawaii. They raised three children and retired while in Colorado, moving to Arizona in 1992, settling in Dewey, Ariz., in the Prescott Country Club.
Rosemary enjoyed teaching Western line-dancing classes for many years and volunteered for the hospital in Prescott Valley for five years. Rosemary was an extraordinary woman, loving wife and mother, and will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her mother and father, William and Mary Harris of Ilion, N.Y. She is survived by her husband Joseph Hohu; children Susan Flick, Ronald Hohu, Rosanne Oft and Greg Brown; grandchildren Joseph Hohu, Lani Oft and Sarah Flick; and great-grandchild Emery Hohu.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at Center of Spiritual Living, 3755 Willow Creek Road in Prescott, with a reception to follow.
Graveside services will follow the reception at Heritage Memorial Park, 12010 E. Hermitage Memorial Lane, Dewey. Donations to Hospice of Prescott appreciated.
Heritage Memory Mortuary assisted the family.
