The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Friday, July 25, 2003 Richard W. Rosensteel, 84, of Sedona, AZ, passed away July 19, 2003. He was born in Elder's Ridge, PA. He was a WWII veteran and retired operating engineer. He spent much of his life operating heavy equipment while building the roads of America. In his later years he enjoyed traveling these roads and pointing out the places he had worked. He also enjoyed lapidary and working in his garden. Richard was preceded in death by his sisters Charlotte, Mary, Alma and brothers Clarence, David and Carl, and the mother of his children, Beatrice. He is survived by his loving wife Jeannette, son Richard of Greensburg, PA, daughter Edwina of Mesa, AZ, 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grand-children. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, July 26 at 11am at the Church of the Nazarene, 55 Rojo Drive, Village of Oak Creek (Sedona). In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
