Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona Saturday, January 07, 2012 William "Bill" Allen passed away Wednesday January 4, 2012 in Flagstaff. He was born January 13, 1939 in Jerome Arizona to William and Clara Allen. He lived all of his life in Arizona, the last 60 years in Flagstaff. Bill graduated from Flagstaff High School in 1958. Bill worked for ADOT for over 30 years, retiring in 1990. He was a volunteer for 6 years for Coconino County Search and Rescue and was proud of the help he could provide to the organization. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bill enjoyed his long retirement spending time with his family and friends. He always had a story to tell about growing up in Northern Arizona, and the many changes he had seen. Bill is survived by his wife of 41 years, Susan. Brother Charles (Phyllis), Daughter Karen, son Michael (Debbie), son Christopher, and 5 grandsons Seth, Jace, Trey, Taylor and Connor. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Barbra. A memorial service will be held Sunday January 8, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the home of Michael Allen 883 W. Lil Ben Trail in Flagstaff.
