ROTHGEB, Delbert


The Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ - Published on January 8, 2012 - Delbert Rothgeb, son of Ira and Nettie Rothgeb, passed away at the age of 99 at Kingman Regional Hospital in Kingman on New Year's Eve. He had been living in Kingman with daughter Anita Jones for the past 10 years. He was born Aug. 17, 1912, at Upola, north of Longton, Kan. He lived in that community until moving to Arizona in 1942. After living in Phoenix for four years he moved back to Longton where he was engaged in farming. He later moved to Arkansas, where he was in the chicken business, having caged layers. Upon retirement, he moved to Bentonville before going to Arizona to live. In 1933, he married Eleanor Zollars. To this union two children were born, James Leroy of Minneapolis and Mary Anita Jones of Kingman. This union ended in divorce. He later married Eva Reno, Grace Mantooth, and Helen Hite. They all preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by both parents; two brothers, Russell and Allen; and one sister, Mary Buchanan. He is survived by two sisters, Viola Reynolds and Myrtle Kramer both of Independence, Kan. Other survivors are both of his children, 10 grandchildren, 20 great- grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, at the Longton Senior Center. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in his name to the Salvation Army, Southwest Division, P.O.
