DUNCAN, Ellen Margaret

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, July 27, 2003 Ellen Margaret Marshall Duncan, passed away in Chandler, AZ on July 19th, 2003. Born on May 7th, 1917, in Beaver, PA to Jacob Brisbin Mytinger Marshall and Mary Lantz Marshall. Married to Harry Robert Duncan for 35 years whom preceded her in death. Graduated from Beaver High School in 1935 and graduated from Garfinkel Business College in Pittsburgh, PA. She lived in Allison Park, PA and Coral Gables, FL. Survived by her brother Robert Henry Marshall of Pittsburgh, PA. Her daughter, Mary Ellen Duncan Laister, Tempe, AZ, and sons Robert T. Duncan, Miami, FL and Mark L. Duncan, Tempe, AZ. Two grandchildren Marshall B. Laister of Gilbert, AZ and Danielle L. Duncan of Tempe, AZ. Eight nieces and nephews. Preceded her death was her sister Catherine B. Miller, Beaver, PA. Ellen was a member of King of Glory Lutheran Church and had belonged to Charles Trimble Hayden DAR Chapter and GFWC Las Noches Woman's Club. Former President of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Auxiliary Guild. Memorial services will be held on Wed., July 30th, 2003 at 11 AM at King of Glory, 2085 E. Southern Ave., Tempe,AZ. Ellen was an avid bridge player and reader of books. We have lost a very loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and special lady to her friends. She had a wonderful personality and sense of humor.
