The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, July 27, 2003 John Tracy Graham-Burruss born October 25, 1966 in Glendale, AZ, was called home to be with our Lord on July 19, 2003. John was a 4th generation Arizonan and a resident of Florence & Valley Farms AZ until 1976 at which time his family moved to Salem OR and then Stayton OR where John finished school. John returned to Phoenix in 1984, joining the Glazers Union and continuing in the family tradition of his Great Grandfather, "Jack", Steele in the construction field. John loved music of all eras and aspired to be a Radio Broadcaster. He will be eternally missed and loved by his Mother, Jacqueline Burruss of Mayer; Grandma Augie (A.K.A. Helen Thomas) of Casa Grande; Grandfather, Bert Gilcrease of Golden Valley; Grammy Inez Graham of Coolidge; Sister and best friend Tonja Blackowski of Phoenix and her children Stephanie and Travis; Sisters, Suzanne Trimble of Tacoma WA and Tammy Ely of Duncan OK; Fiancee, Kimberly of Phoenix; his favorite and only Uncle Robert Graham of El Frida; Aunts, Francie Steele of Mayer, Pamela Western of Scottsdale, Rosie England of Coolidge and Patsy Poe of Coolidge; cousins that were like sisters, Niecy Stuart of Tucson and Katie Knight of Mayer. John has left many 1st, 2nd & 3rd cousins and many very close friends including Kelley Grey of Phx and Shiela Laughlin of CA. John has also left his best friend Fergus, canine companion. Services August 2nd, 11am, Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Rd, Phx. Please attend to celebrate John's life. "John loved his Levi's" so by all means please wear yours! Flowers are not necessary; John was not a "flower kind of guy", however, any donations and cards would be greatly appreciated. A celebration of his new life will be held on Mingus Mountain, in the evening. All are welcome, details at the service.
