The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, July 27, 2003 James B. Tierney, 74, of Phoenix, AZ passed away July 24, 2003. Born in St. Louis, MO on June 28, 1929, he moved to Arizona 19 years ago from Lakewood, OH. He was the Finance Director for the City of Cleveland Heights, OH for 30 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Irish American Social Club of Phoenix, and served as a crossing guard for the Paradise Valley School District for 18 years. He is survived by his wife, Rita; 6 children; step-children, Sherri Busa and Dale Meggas; 9 grandchildren; and step-grandchildren, Elyse Busa, Lindsay, Jamie, and Kyle Meggas. He was preceded in death by his step-granddaughter, Megan Busa. Visitation will be held on Mon. from 5-8 PM, and Tues. from 1-3 PM and 5-8 PM with a Rosary at 7 PM at Messinger Mortuary Chapel, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale, AZ. Mass will be held on Wed. at 10 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3801 N. Miller Rd., Scottsdale, AZ.
