PETERS, William (Marty)

East Valley Tribune, Tempe, Arizona Sunday, July 27, 2003 Peters, William "Marty" Ð 45 of Phoenix, AZ, died in an industrial accident Thursday the 17th of July at 1:40 p.m. EST in Columbus, Ohio while working for Columbus Steel Castings, a foundry in the area. Born in Tempe, AZ he lived 44 years of his live in Arizona most recently in Flagstaff where he worked at Walmart. He worked for 20 years at the Motorola Inc. Scottsdale facility, prior to the General Dynamics purchase. Prior to his move to Flagstaff he worked at American Express in Phoenix. For many years he was a member of the Motorola Ski Club, loved to play his electric guitar and 4-wheel driving. He is survived by his father and mother, Bill and Frances Peters (Mesa); wife, Alice Peters (Columbus, OH); sisters, Mary Nader (Tulsa, OK) and Terry Muth (Las Vegas, NV); sons Colt Peters 19 and Luke Peters 15 (Chandler, AZ); and stepchildren, Josh Vanatta 18 and Ashley Vanatta 13 (Tempe). His fun loving soul and gentle heart will be missed by many friends and family. The services were held in Lancaster, OH on July 23, 2003 at Smith Mortuary, 405 N. Columbus, Lancaster, OH.
