Rita S. Contreras, 97, of Phoenix, AZ, went home to be with the Lord on 
July 24, 2003. She was born in Sierra Mojada, Coahuila, Mexico, on 
September 22, 1906. She moved to the United States in 1915. She resided 
in Miami, AZ, Goldroad, AZ, and then settled in Phoenix. She was 
preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Felix A. Contreras. She 
was a wonderful lady and will be greatly missed by all. She is survived 
by her sister, Bernarda; nieces, Dora (Al) Bartman and Caroline Kutz 
(Larry); four great niece and nephews, Diana (Eddie), Aaron (Shari), 
Brian (Lynn), and Curtis (Rebecca), and 3 great-great nephews (Michael, 
Cody, and Tyler). 

A memorial service will be held at La Paz Funeral Home on July 30, 2003, 
at 9:00-11:00 AM. 

Internment at St. Francis Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Hospice of the Valley.
