The Camp Verde Bugle, Camp Verde, Arizona Saturday, December 20, 2008 Johnnie B. Stapp, 81, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 13 after a brief illness. She was born Johnnie B. Connor on July 18, 1927, in Des Moines, N.M., to John Connor and Fay Etta (Hyer) Connor. She was a long-time resident of Albuquerque, N.M., where she was a past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. She relocated to the Verde Valley in 2002 to be closer to her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Stapp; and is survived by her sister, Phyllis J. Browning of Syracuse, Kan.; her niece, Kathy J.
