PUNDT, Keith (Kip) Irving

Owens Livingston Mortuary ~ Heritage Chapel Snowflake, Arizona Keith Irving Pundt May 15, 1947 - January 10, 2012 Keith "Kip" Irving Pundt, passed away on January 10, 2012 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born May 15, 1947 in Buffalo, New York to Irving Edwin Pundt and Jane Ethel Hart Pundt. In 1962 his family moved to Snowflake, Arizona. Kip graduated from Snowflake High School in 1965. He then worked at the paper mill for a while until he went to Tucson, Arizona to attend the University of Arizona. He met Candy Shugart, the love of his life and were married in 1968. They lived in Tucson, Arizona for a year while Kip worked at St. Mary's Hospital. They moved back to Snowflake, Arizona in 1969, where Kip worked at the Arizona State Highway Department. He started a tax service through H&R Block in the late 1970's that he operated for several years. In 1986 he began working for Kords Ambulance Service in Show Low, Arizona as an EMT. Then in 1989 he started working for what is now called Summit Health Care. He was also a part time dealer at Honda Casino. Throughout the years he served on the Snowflake Volunteer Fire Department as a firefighter, officer and on the retirement board. He loved computer play time, sci-fi movies, gardening and tending to his fish pond. He liked to play games and cards with his family and had an avid interest in Genealogy. He also enjoyed taking pictures of the outdoors and family members. He enjoyed working on pottery with his mother-in-law. He was a square dancing caller and loved to square dance. He is survived by his wife, Candice Pundt of Snowflake, Arizona; 7 children: Paul (Alicia) Frazier of Louisville, Colorado, Sheila (Bill) Baldwin of Taylor, Arizona, Heather (Jack) Peterson of Phoenix, Arizona, Tracy (Rodger) Bywater of Mesa, Arizona, Donovan (Lisa) Pundt of Snowflake, Arizona, Lacey and Katie Pundt both of Snowflake, Arizona; 14 grandchildren; 3 siblings: Gary (Mindy) Pundt of Tucson, Arizona, Jeff (Debbie) Pundt of Tucson, Arizona of Tucson, Arizona and Brian (Shirley) of Velencia, California and his mother, Jane Pundt of Tucson, Arizona. He was prceded in death by 2 children: Dustin and Chad Pundt; 1 grandchild; a brother, Steven Pundt and his father, Irving Pundt. Memorial services will be held on Monday, January 16, 2012 at 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Main Street Chapel Snowflake, Arizona. There will be a viewing Sunday, January 15, 2012 from 6-8:00 PM, location to be announced. The burial will immediately follow the service at the R.V. "Mike" Ramsey Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake, Arizona.
