Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Carol D. Warniment (March 5, 1941 - January 7, 2012) Carol D. Warniment, 70, of Flagstaff, AZ died on January 7, 2012, at Olivia White Hospice Home after a valiant battle with an extended illness. Born March 5, 1941, in Perrysburg, OH to Albert and Mary Haas, Carol graduated from The Pines in Freemont, OH and from Edgecliff College (Xavier University) in Cincinnati, OH. Her father affectionately called her "Zip." Before marrying and dedicating herself to raising a family, she worked as a medical technologist in San Diego and Hawaii. Carol supported her husband's Air Force career, which included tours in Hawaii, Germany, Texas, and Virginia. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed crafts, tending colorful flowers in her gardens and viewing natural landscapes. A member of San Francisco de Asis parish, she volunteered with Christian charities, including sewing for disabled veterans. Carol is survived by her husband of forty years, Daniel; daughters Anne of Flagstaff, AZ and Andrea of Monterey, CA; son Daniel of Charlottesville, VA; eight sisters: Pat (Maumee, OH), Charlotte (Jacksonville, FL), Shirley (San Marcos, CA), Suzie (Attica, NY), Angie (Auburn, CA), Judy (Mesa, AZ), Bernie (Mesa, AZ), and Mary Jo (Howell, MI); two brothers: Casey (Alta, CA) and Sam (Fairbanks, AK); and four grandchildren: Grace, Liam, Michael, and Benjamin. She is preceded in death by a sister, Marian; and a brother, Tony. A rosary and visitation will take place January 13, 2012 at 7:00 p.m., at Norvel Owens Mortuary in Flagstaff. A memorial service will be January 14, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church. A second memorial service and interment will be held in New Bavaria, OH at Sacred Heart Church at 10:30 a.m. on January 23, 2012.
