Florentino C. Vargas, 83, of Yuma, died Jan. 8, 2012, at Palm View Rehabilitation and Care Center.

Born June 7, 1928, in Zacatecas, Mexico, he was an agricultural laborer.

A viewing will be 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Desert Valley Mortuary Chapel, with scripture reading at 2 p.m. Burial will be held at Panteon Jardin in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico.
