Jacob James Thompson, 6, of Buckeye died Aug. 20, 2006, in Phoenix. Jacob was born July 16, 2000, in Phoenix, and had just started school at Palo Verde Elementary School. He is survived by his parents, Rachel and Robert Thompson; one sister, Karissa; his grandparents, Connie and Jim McCarthy and Jean and Bob Thompson; and his great-grandmother, Shirley Ruth. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Ganley's Buckeye Funeral Home, 104 E. Baseline Road in Buckeye. A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Buckeye Light & Life Church, 302 E. Roosevelt Ave. The Rev. Charles Clayborn will officiate. Interment will be at Louis B. Hazelton Cemetery in Buckeye. Ganley's Buckeye Funeral Home made the arrangements.
