BOWLAN, Jarrell E.


Jarrell E. Bowlan, 64, of Buckeye died Aug. 15, 2006, in Phoenix. Mr. Bowlan was born Aug. 23, 1941, in Little Rock, Ark., to June and Buel. He moved to Arizona with his family when he was about 3 years old, and lived in Chandler, Buckeye, Hyder and Gila Bend. Mr. Bowlan attended several schools, including Gila Bend High School. After his schooling, he worked at the Narramore and Youngkers farms, owned his own rood business and worked for a great deal of time as a zanjero for the Buckeye Irrigation District. Mr. Bowlan was also the founder of Buckeye's "Wild Bunch." Mr. Bowlan is survived by one daughter, Terri Keyes of Glendale; one son, Chalky of Tucson; two brothers, Buel of Tucson and Darrell of Buckeye; and two grandchildren. A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at the First Assembly of God, 23230 W. Highway 85 in Buckeye, where the Rev. Buddy Mull will officiate. Interment will be at Louis B. Hazelton Memorial Park in Buckeye. Ganley's Buckeye Funeral Home made the arrangements. Posted by The West Valley View
