MAYHUGH, Nathan B. (Dunk) (Pa)


Nathan B. "Dunk" "Pa" Mayhugh, 96, of Buckeye died July 30, 2006. Mr. Mayhugh was born Nov. 19, 1909, in Midway, Ky. He worked at the Alexander Stone Quarry for many years. He married his wife, Beulah, on Aug. 17, 1929, and the couple made their first home in Kentucky before moving to Arizona in 1957. They settled in Gila Bend, where Mr. Mayhugh worked as a heavy equipment operator for Gila Ready Mix, and was a member of the Operating Engineers Union. He retired in 1974, and moved with his wife to Buckeye in 1982. Mr. Mayhugh was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah. He is survived by two daughters, Marie Harris and Elizabeth Mayhugh; one son, Eugene; two sisters, Hallie Dunning and Ina Mayhugh of Paducah, Ky.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A service was held Wednesday at Ganley's Buckeye Funeral Home. Interment was at Louis B. Hazelton Cemetery in Buckeye. Ganley's Buckeye Funeral Home made the arrangements.
