CHAVEZ, Anna Katherine

Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona Sunday, January 15, 2012 Anna Katherine Chavez, 41, of Flagstaff passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 10, 2012. She was a loving mother, daughter, and friend to many. A Flagstaff native, she was a proud Coconino Panther who continued her education at Northern Arizona University earning a degree in Criminal Justice. Her love for life lead her to enjoy many activities such as scuba diving, scrap booking and spending quality time with family and friends. She also enjoyed a variety of foods, shopping and a good thriller or comedy. She spent most of her working career in the Coconino County Court System. Her last year was spent working for the County Superintendent of Schools. Anna is survived by her beautiful daughters, Ashley and Katie, her loving parents, Pat and Mary Chavez, little sister Andrea Chavez, all of Flagstaff and paternal grandmother Isabel Chavez of St. Johns, AZ, along with a very large extended family. Her beloved pets Tinkerbell, Chico and Lilly await her return every evening. The Holy Rosary will be prayed for her, Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 3:00 pm followed by mass at 4:00 at St. Pius X Center 2257 E. Cedar Ave., Flagstaff, AZ.
