KENT, Edward

Lake Powell Chronicle, Page, Arizona Edward Kent died at age 91on Jan. 3. Edward died peacefully within the land he has known as home. He will be remembered as a devoted man to his family and for the strong faith he possessed. Edward was born to Walter and Ida Kent on May 10, 1920. Edward was married, and then later sealed, to Ruth Lane. He is survived by his wife and his children; Mary Tsinnijinnie, Jimmy Sanders, Nona (Ray) Slim, Anna Bennett, Lena (Ken) McBride, Helen Kent, Arlinda (Teddy) Begay, Eddie (Patricia) Kent, Barbara (Darryl) Benally, and Diane Lange. He is also survived by 36 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Edward was preceded in death by his parents Walter Kent and Ida Kent Nez, six brothers and one sister, son Kee Kent, son Curley Kent and son Chester Kent. A funeral for Edward was held Jan. 7 at 10 a.m. at the Page 4th Ward LDS Chapel. He was buried in the Page City Cemetery.
