Jimmy Dean Jessen, also known as “Belushi,” died Aug. 23 in Parowon, Utah. He was 47 years old.
Jessen was born in Salt Lake City, Utah Jan. 28, 1964 to Val Dean and Nora Mae Nielsen Jessen.
He is survived by his brother Joe Jessen of Page and his sisters Valeri Jessen of Salt Lake City, Utah, Vickie Rollins of Richfield, Utah and Deena Teeples of Cedar City, Utah. He is also survived by his companion Michele Wilson of Parowan, Utah and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his niece Lindsey Teeples and both parents and grandparents.
Jessen graduated from Richfield High School in Utah in 1982. He went to college and then settled in Lake Powell. He lived near Lake Powell for more than 20 years.
Jessen made many friends and touched so many hearts. He was a very loving and caring brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
Jessen will be missed by many.
A celebration of life was held Aug. 27 in Glenwood, Utah. Arrangements were made by Magelby’s Mortuary, family and friends.
