Robert (Bob) Howard Skinner, born April 10, 1931 in Beaver, Utah, passed away on June 16 in Page after a short illness. Bob was the second son of Ralph Henry and Agnes Lucille (Burke) Skinner. He grew up in Beaver, graduating from Beaver High School in 1949 before serving honorably with the Utah National Guard in Korea.
Bob married Janet Dover Dec. 19, 1952. They had five children: Howard (Carol), Elizabeth Kim Dodge, Paul (Vicki), Lucy (Ross) Payne and Gordon (Celeste). Bob had 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He and Janet were later divorced and Bob married Janet Dooley on Aug. 6, 1977 in a sunset ceremony on Lake Powell.
Bob was a resident of Page for almost 40 years. He and Janet owned a travel agency and a gift shop. He was active in civic affairs and was a member of the Elks Club, Rotary Club, Glen Canyon Country Club, Chamber of Comnmerce, Page Community United Methodist Church and Lake Powell Boating Club.
Bob was one of four siblings, including brothers Ralph (Ann), Jimmy Jerry (Judy) and Jimmy (Jalene). He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet, a granddaughter and a great-grandson. Funeral services were held at the Page Community United Methodist Church on June 21 and interment was June 22 at the Page Cemetery.
