Kimana Nicole Davis
It has been a sad, tragic day for Kimana Nicole Davis, who passed away Wednesday, May 18 in Cardon Children’s Hospital in Mesa.
She was the daughter of Wesley and Leann Davis, the younger sister of Darrian Davis and the older sister of Brycen Lister and Wyatt Davis.
Kimana was born Nov. 28, 1998 in Page, where she began her journey in life. She enjoyed many activities, like building things, playing her violin, drawing, fishing, riding horses, hoop dancing, running, playing softball and basketball.
In all these activities, she showed plenty of potential and motivation. Kimana mostly enjoyed spending time with family and relatives. She showed curiosity in the outside world, known as the universe, and dreamed to explore the vast space and galaxy. Kimana was adventurous and intelligent.
Her special talent was making people smile and she was a very determined young woman. She served through volunteer work with the elderly at the senior center. Her best challenge was competing in the 2011 Hoop Dance Competition held at the Heard Museum in Phoenix.
Kimana had family and relatives who were closely involved in her life. They were her aunties, uncle and cousins Neda Lister, Antionette (Toni) Hammill, Clorinda Lister, Leslie (Tutt) Lister, Ronald Hicks, Ronalda Hicks, Ronald D. (Bigger) Hicks, Raquel Hicks, Staci Walters and Auron Clark.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Ned K. Lister, and paternal grandfather, Aaron Douglas Mapatis.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, May 24 at the Faith Bible Chapel in Page. Condolences and donations may be left for the family at National Bank of America in Page.
