Janice Kathleen Law Murraine was born in 1941 to Fritz and Hilda (Decker) Law, in Espanola, N.M.
In 1962 she married Lenard Murraine; they spent many years living in many exotic locations around the world while her husband was in the United State Air Force.
She moved to Rapid City in 2000, as it was a life-long dream of hers and Lenard’s to have a cabin in the Black Hills. This dream was realized, and they spent their last few months together in the beauty of the hills.
She enjoyed fishing with family, reading, story telling, collecting dragons and antiques, being part of the local Celtic community and genealogy, but her favorite thing in life was her family and her pets.
She is survived by her children, Lenard, Mathew, and Sabrina; grandchildren, Quincy, Mathew Eric, Thomas, Sarah, Morgan, Kian, Lenorah and Gilliam; great grandchildren, Bradon, Lexy, Mathew Lenard and Aiden. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She loved her family more than anything.
Janice was a unique individual, and her memory will live on both in her descendants, and the hearts of her many friends. She will be missed.
Murraine, 69, passed away in Rapid City on Feb. 24, 2010.
A wake followed the service at 417 E. Waterloo St., Rapid City, S.D.
