Robert F. H. Woodberry
We lost a great man on Monday, Feb. 14, 2011. Robert F. H. Woodberry, 82, died after a long illness.
He is survived by Patricia Woodberry, his wife of more than 50 years; his children, David (Cheryl) Woodberry, Lesley (Rick) Herbold, Jennifer (Steven) Karren, Katie Fini, and Angelina Woodberry; his grandchildren, Sarah, Eliot, Thomas, Ryan, Lizzy, Amelia, Allison, and Annesa; and his cherished great-grandchildren, Jaxston, Kaitlyn, Lia, Brigham, Connor, and Ezra-Therese.
He was preceded in death by his children, Helen and Adam, and his brother, Stanley.
Robert was born on April 13, 1928, in Cardiff, Wales. His life path brought him from Great Britain to Canada and to the United States. He was a brilliant man who excelled in mathematics and physics. His life’s work was in aerospace and aviation. There was a lot of pride felt when it was discovered that many of his projects on jet propulsion systems had been placed into the National Archives and had been translated into many languages for engineers all over the world. His best works were on the Apollo Space Mission, Airbus aircraft, and the Learjet 45.
Robert worked at the Page Chamber of Commerce in 2003 through 2005. His fluency in the French language assisted hundreds of foreign tourists in navigating Page and the surrounding area.
A private service will be held for the family. It is requested, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Page Animal Adoption Agency, P.O. Box 3907, Page, AZ 86040.
